HUDSON 08 RECAP

The family reunion went off as planned with all Andrew Hudson family members in attendance who had working, functional pancreases (pancri?)
I need to send an email to all the attendees and get a complete photo library. Right now the only pictures I have on this laptop are ones that Karen sent of the babies after bathtime, and they aren't quite internet appropriate.
So this is a call for all pictures of the event.
As a recap, these were the highlights of the trip.
1. mom and dad playing Rock Band
2. mom stressing that she couldn't answer my phone because she was trying to answer Dot's toy phone- "but there are two green buttons!"- yes mom, and there is also a star, heart and diamond on the top of the huge plastic phone...
3. max showing off his "tricks" in the pool- really cool moves
4. temple quarry day hike
5. rocking out on the microphone with ella

Things I will try to remember to do next year
1. take more pictures
2. take video
3. don't forget to make my mom a t-shirt
4. take a family picture with us all in our t-shirts (I can't believe we didn't do this, what was I thinking?)
5. Take more pictures

Alien Baby

Obligatory photos from the new laptop. You know you own a new mac when...

Reading

I've been so obsessed with Google Readerthat I haven't even needed to visit my blog to check out my friend's goings ons...
So I didn't realize how boring my blog was getting. Here are a few things that have happened around the Dot LeSueur household the past couple of weeks.
1. I had a birthday and it was great
2. Cory threw me a birthday bbq
3. I got him a bbq for father's day so he could do it.
4. I had a great time with everyone who came all the way out to Herriman to celebrate. Thanks Alysha, Danny, michelle, Nicole and Dusten, Darin and Suzy and especially Cory's mom for all her help!
6. I took the bus one more time.
5. Cory hooked up with a design partner who has been giving him tons of projects to work on at home
6. Cory bought a new laptop to help him get all the stuff done.
7. Dotty learned how to take pictures all by herself. Here is the proof.

I helped a little bit. But she pressed the button. I also took some pictures of her, but as you can see- she has a little bit of a delayed response with the smiles. She always smiles really cute after the flash. We'll have to work on that.

Although, maybe its kind of cute this way- she just looks really content.

The Burbs

So since we live so far from Salt Lake City- and since gas is now $4.00 a gallon- I've decided to do my part and try taking the bus to work.
I take the 347 Fast Bus from Herriman to Salt Lake and make one transfer in downtown SLC.
Its a good thing I'm on the carpooling green team at work so I can count the two hours I spend figuring out my best route as "research". I had so many options to choose from but in the end I chose the only route that allowed me to only transfer once and didn't require me to drive really at all. It actually inspired me to help other people figure out their best route to work. We brainstormed a "3form bus day" where every employee takes the bus and we take pictures of the empty parking lot. That would be cool.
Here is what I brought to read on the hour long bus ride...

Yup- that's 8 pages of maps and schedules in my lap. I told you it was complicated. Actually this picture was taken before I was too carsick to read. I actually ended up waiting it out on the fast bus and then reading my newsweek after I transferred. LOVE that now I have time to read it! It just started coming in the mail randomly!
Here's to high gas prices!

Happy Father's Day

This picture was taken the day Cory became a father. It is the picture I have at my desk at work. I can't believe I am a part of this beautiful family. These guys share a wonderful bond and I know Dotty has a best friend in Cory. Thanks for being such a wonderful Dad. Happy Father's day.

GFY

So I've weaned myself off of US Weekly, and I no longer have E! since we don't have cable. I'm feeling pretty good about myself.
But now I love this
It is by far much more respectable than my other vices. Definately check it out.
