Happy Holidays

I tend to not plan for "special moments" - its just not my thing. But this past Monday just happened to be the anniversary of Cory's proposal and so we took the kids up to temple square to see the lights. We walked up to the spot up the hill overlooking temple square where Cory popped the question. And, of course, Cory caught it all on video. Isn't it magical?

New York | Post #2 Townes and Charlie

Townes had a blast in New York as well. He's turning into a pretty social little kid.
He's a sweet little kid. I think his favorite thing of the trip was baby Charlie.

This video was from the first night we got there.

He might have been in love with Charlie, or just nostalgic for being a "born baby". (that's Dotty's term for newborn baby)

Townes = Cory

Even though I know he has my eyes, (people always say he looks tired...but its the droopy Wilcox eyes) everything else is Cory.

That's just all Cory

See how old he is?

Holding new baby Drew.

Happy Birthday Townes!

So my baby boy is one today! We can't believe how old he is. He fits in great, already cracking jokes and making people laugh. We love him.
His birthday came a little early yesterday when I got Dot a new booster seat and he got to face front for the first time! He giggled all the way home. Doesn't he look so grown up?

don't worry, I changed the straps when I got home...

Townes' Namesake

I'm trying to find this album cover large enough to put up in Townesy's room.

Sick Day

So we're home sick with a weird virus and so we are watching a lot of videos. Dot likes Youtube. It used to be all about kids singing Annie songs, or Disney songs, or other things. But now we've branched out.

We spent a lot of time watching this guy, and watching this guy with a face drawn on him, and watching this guy edited into King Kong - the opportunities on Youtube are endless...
I think Townes likes it so much because he's pretty sure he could sing those words.
If you haven't watched his original performance, you really should. Find it here

His Spot

Townes can now stand in his crib. (Dotty didn't do this until she was at least 14 months.) Cory calls it his spot, he'll wake up and stand up facing the door and yell for Cory to come and get him.
And he's getting a tooth.

So I was in Vegas

And Cory took the kids to the park. These are the famous purple slides that Dotty loves.

I wish I could blame Dotty's messy hair on Cory watching her, but it doesn't look much better when I watch her.

Bathtime

Dotty has the best time playing with her polly's (mini princesses) in the bath. Here is a cute video of the voices she makes for them (+ some closeups on the Townes)

Townes is Ticklelicious

Sometimes I can't resist getting that giggle going.
Also - there is the new haircut. I'm in absolute short hair heaven. Thanks to my friend Heidi it was also FREE!!! She thinks she's just learning, but I think this proves she's headed for the big leagues.

FireTown

Easter Eggs and Ears

Easter weekend started with some egg dying with Grandma Donnay. I'm glad Dot gets to experience that - because there is no way I would do it on my own. Too messy. But Dot had a blast, and I love her apron.

I asked her to pose - this is what she came up with.

Then the Easter Bunny came on Sunday and dropped off a basket full of toys and games (I'm pretty impressed with myself for resisting the candy!). I asked Dot who she liked better, the Easter Bunny or Santa Clause and she said "Santa Clause, the easter bunny doesn't talk"...hmmm good point.

Here is her "enthusiasm" for the candy-less basket. Sorry for her "witch hair" as Greg would call it.

Happy Easter! We enjoyed the peaceful reminder of our Savior's atonement. Hope you did too.

Townesy

Right now Townes is sick with Pink Eye and two ear infections. So I thought I'd remind myself what the little boy is like when he's feeling his best. This is his favorite joke - drop something and say "uh-oh". Its hi-larious.

Townes is a studious boy

Townes has finally learned how to clap his hands and he is very proud of himself. It took me awhile to catch him. So beware. But I think he is cute throughout the whole thing. I love his face right before he claps and his excitement just after. He has such a serious face.
