San Fran # 4

On our visit to the Pier, we discovered (thanks to Mindy)a great mechanics museum display. Dotty loved all the old music machines. I would have thought she'd be scared of them...

but they played music so she was down.

Here she is displaying her second passion- chairs. I love how she looks like a kid from the fifties. She was all wet from her waterbottle so we stripped her down to her t-shirt.

They also had an old photo-booth. We are obviously out of practice.

San Fran # 3

On Sunday we went to the cutest little Berkeley ward before heading up the mountain to check out the view.

It was a fun little adventure despite being "totally touristy".

San Fran #2

On Saturday night Sarah and Ben invited us to a multicultural night at the Oakland Temple. There was great food and fun spanish dancing from various countries in South America.
Dotty of course LOVED IT!
The people around us remarked at how much she enjoyed the show as she clapped along, laughed and of course cried when it was over.
Here is a picture of her doing her one finger clap-along and then her distress when the bright-colored, twirly dancers were finished.

Also, there are two fountains outside the Oakland Temple so you know where Dotty spent the rest of the night...

San Fran #1

On day one we walked around Berkeley. Dotty got a feeling for the campus life. We didn't get far though because Dot got distracted by this fountain. She really wanted to get in, and since it wasn't a very hot day we told her it was a bad idea.

She wouldn't back down, and so we had to hide in the bookstore and distract her with a new book. We found this gem, and signed by the author! Dotty made us read it five times in the store.

I'm back from New York and loving it. I had a great time and the tradeshow went super smoothly (considering all the drawbacks). The last day I went out to Scarsdale to visit my lovely sister Erin. I love visiting her family- they are such real and comfortable hosts. I hope the weather is good today for "Spirit Day". See you this summer.

Happy Mother's Day...For you Mom

For mother's day I treated myself to some eyelash extensions. Michelle knows this lady who does them in her house for cheap and I've been super curious. After two days of my makeup just dripping off, my lazy self decided it was no longer worth it to put on eye makeup.
So woila

Now I don't have to brush my hair, or bother with mascara. And that is really a gift for my mother who was always telling me to brush my hair and put on more mascara. So Happy mother's day. My other gift is really more from Dot anyway.

My other favorites from this past mother's day weekend?
1. getting measuring cups in sacrament meeting instead of a flower or a cookie...what?
2. making the same joke as my brother when I heard what my dad got my mom for mother's day (it was an antique mirror, and we both made a witty quip about the gift of the magi...really?)
4. getting a sweet card from Cory's mom, that really was special.
5. taking this picture of dotty

She's relaxing watching sesame street. Oh sunny days...

Thanks Cory

For four magical years. I wouldn't be who I am, as happy and comfortable in my beautiful life without you and everything you give to me. Thanks for being the husband, father and friend I always dreamed of having by my side.
