picnics

We had two picnics this weekend. After Cory went to Vegas Thursday morning, I picked Dot up and we went to the playground for a picnic. I think Dot took two bites of mashed potatoes and ate one carrot stick but we could still call it a picnic. She mostly played at the playground.

Dotty is not upset, just squinting from the sun and chewing a carrot

Then on Saturday night we picked up some KFC with Dusten and Nicole and brought the kids to a park in Lehi. They had a blast running off together and playing on the big kid slide. I can't believe how old they are and how independent they are getting.

Dotty has even upgraded to a big kid swing. Doesn't she look so old? {minus the wispy baby hair...}

This was the age that you climbed up the tower in Goldbar park Mary. Very independent! SHe is really growing up.

Donnay took her to the park in our community and she said she rocked the spider web! Thanks for helping her learn that skill!

I always have mixed emotions when they upgrade to a big swing. So excited for them and also scared they will fall and crack their head...Thankfully, Eve tried the big girl swing a while back, but still prefers the kiddie one. Since she hurt herself on a slide a few weeks ago, she is being a little more cautious - not a bad thing really. Just showing she has learned a little about gravity...
